Being stared at probably won't be a strange thing to you. I bet you are stared at whenever you go out into town. It happens to the best of us, everyone of us that has got a visible physical handicap. It's just what people do. They stare. Because we are different.
Does that make you feel uncomfortable? Want to get rid of it? Here's a couple of tips on how to scare away your starers:
- Smile: When someone coming your way is staring at you as if you are some kind of strange imbecile, meet their eyes, and smile at them as if you mean it. They will either smile back at you or look away feeling embarrassed and walk on.
- Act like an imbecile: Not my favorite, but it works. I've seen it done. Whenever a person looks at you as if you were an alien, freak out. Scream, call them names, drool all over yourself, I promise you, they'll be looking away very very quickly.
- Say hello: Or acknowledge them in any other friendly way. This most of the time has the same effect as smiling.
- Glare or shout 'What you looking at!?': They'll get your point and look away, maybe even apologise to you.
